Ashwagandha, astragalus, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, star anis, clove

Powerhouse spices to restore, build and protect the immune, nervous and digestive systems. A tea in and of itself, or add to black or rooibos teas for an added boost.

Preparations: Decoct method--place one teaspoon per cup of water into a pot to simmer for 10-30 min with a lid ajar. Reduce by 1/3 and then add back in liquid volumn in choosen milk (oat, almond, goat, cow...). Add honey or agave nectar per taste, a dash of salt and a dollup of coconut oil or other oil to bring out the richness and depth of the spice-flavor. The ginger and black pepper will give this warm drink a kick. Good for warming up the entire system! I leave mine to soak overnight and re-heat the next day. Good bottled up hot or cold.

*For an extra-delicious treat, boil this spice blend with apple cider, which also has immune-building properties and serve as a mocktail cordial!

**When you are feeling a sickness coming on, stop drinking this tea and switch to green or white tea, a mint-family tea blend or other herb blend to combat whatever symptoms you are beginning to experience.
